As Commissioner for Oaths, we administer Oaths or affirmation of Affidavits and Statutory Declarations for utilisation in Singapore.

What we handle

  • Arranging for verification by Singapore Academy of Law, authentication by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs and legalisation by foreign Embassies, High Commissions, General Consulates and Consulate Offices
  • Arranging for documents in certain foreign languages to be translated into English and to be notarised and legalised
  • Bearing witness to the attestation or execution of Affidavits, Agreements, Bills of Sale, Contracts, Deeds, Powers of Attorney, Renunciation of Citizenship, Statutory Declarations and other documents
  • Certifying document duplicates as true copies of the original
  • Issuing Notarial Certificates
  • Administering oaths or affirmations of Affidavits and Statutory Declarations for use in Singapore

Documents to bring for notarisation

Original documents
Original Identity Card, Passport (for foreigner), Birth Certificate (for minor), Deed Poll (if there is change of name)
Official translation of documents in English (for documents in foreign language)
Latest version of original Memorandum and Articles of Association, Directors’ Resolution, Power of Attorney and Letter of Authority (or copies as certified by the Director/Company Secretary as true copies) for documents to be executed by Company Common Seal or by authorised Attorney or representative
If in doubt of what is needed for notarisation and legalisation, please bring letter of request.

Original Identity Card, Passport (for foreigner), Birth Certificate (for minor), Deed Poll (if there is change of name)
Original ACRA Bizfile search, Directors’ Resolution or Letter of Authority if person is making oath or affirming on behalf of corporate entity.
